For the past few weeks, Kim has been working closely with Jules—learning the ropes, connecting with parents, and organizing events. We’re excited to formally introduce her to you!

A bit about me

Hi, my name is Kim. I was born in the Netherlands to a Dutch mother and Indonesian father. At the age of 13, my family moved to Jakarta, Indonesia, for my dad’s work, where I attended the Jakarta International School. I started the IB program in Jakarta and completed it back in the Netherlands. After obtaining my Master’s in Southeast Asia Studies, I moved back to Jakarta for another five years. I’ve worked in HR, Sales, and Communications.

My husband and I have one daughter (8), who attends ‘the Dutch Optimist’. I really enjoy helping out there as a class parent and being involved in the Activity Committee. My stepdaughter and stepson (18 and 16) live with their mom, but stay with us occasionally. In my free time, I love playing badminton, coaching a youth badminton group, and reading.

I’ve been with OIS for almost two months now, in the roles of Volunteering Community Coordinator, Event Management, and Front Office. I’m so happy to be back in an international community, and I’d like to thank everyone for such a warm welcome!
